Columbia Area High School Ratings

The South Carolina Department of Education recently released the annual report card for Midlands high schools. Ratings are based on several factor to include standardized test scores, exit exam results and graduation rates. Districts as well as schools are rated “excellent”- “good” – “average” – “below average” – or- “at risk”

Lexington-Richland  5 was the only midlands district with an overall excellent rating in 2010. Lexington 1 also attained an excellent rating. The distict rating for Richland 2 was average.The district rating for both  Kershaw and Richland 1 was below average.

High School ratings Richland 2: Ridgeview and Spring Valley-Excellent;Blythewood-Good and Richland Northeast-Below average.

All three high schools in Lexington-Richland 5. Chapin, Dutch Fork and Irmo, received an Excellent rating.
